Some general tips on sponsorship - by TwentyThree20 Marketing
1. Ride/race equipment from the same brands and stores that you are seeking as sponsors.
2. At races or any public event remember that you are acting on behalf of your sponsors.
3. A good sponsorship proposal will include the following: cover letter, race resume, committed schedule of events, levels of sponsorship, contact information, and photos; but, a great proposal includes creativity.
4. Getting a sponsor is not selling out. A sellout is someone who uses gear from companies that they don’t believe in.
5. Take care of your equipment. Maintain and clean it frequently. Don’t clutter your rides with stickers of brands or stores that don’t sponsor you.
6. Digital resumes and media kits should never be in a word processing format. Try to use a pdf format.
